Khaleeji Commercial Bank Receives PCI DSS Certificate

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: In addition to its several achievements over recent months, Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has been awarded Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS v3.2) certification from the Middle East’s leading Qualified Security Assessor, SISA Information Security WLL, on completing the successful audit and attaining compliance on one of the most stringent and coveted security standard.

Mr. Tawfeeq Mohamed Bastaki, Acting Chief Executive Officer of KHCB, received the international certificate granted to KHCB for the bank’s compliance with the latest banking standards measuring security and confidentiality of card holding customers’ data through their banking transactions, in cooperation with SISA Information Security WLL. The company evaluated and audited the Bank's compliance with the PCI DSS V3.2 security standard, aiming to provide a high level of protection and confidentiality to electronic payments card data and to meet the requirements of the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Mr. Bastaki stated: "We are proud to have received this significant international certificate, which adds to our achievements in the field of electronic banking. We always strive to provide the best means to ensure the security and protection of our customers’ data, strengthening their confidence in us by providing services that correspond with changes and enhance the protection of banking card data, in addition to secure payment channels and services.”
Mr. Bastaki added: "I would like to thank the team that worked on this strategic project for their great endeavours towards this achievement and SISA Information Security WLL, which has worked closely with us over the past months and provided technical advice necessary for the bank’s procedures to comply with PCI DSS V3.2."
